We are very sorry: The seventh edition of my two marathons in Togo will not take place in November 2023

Samedi 04 November 2023 - Saturday, 4th November 2023

Welcome to the 6th edition of the Trail-Marathon des Papillons in the Atacora mountain chain. This is the masterpiece of the African Marathon Challenge. We will start at 06:00 a.m. in the area of the NGO AGERTO (Association Germano-Togolaise) located in the Yoruba-founding Kpalimé (see interactive map). Running slightly uphill on paved roads, we cross the border to Ghana after 12 kilometres. On our way we will visit the friendly mountain villages before reaching 2 waterfalls. You get a free massage there... The finishline awaits you with local food and traditional music in Kouma Konda, one of this lovely Butterfly-Villages. Charity-Background: We are building a mill in Kouma Konda and reforest the palm trees of the Souer de Orantes. We support the AGERTO project in Kpalimé by founding a computer class.

We are oranizing the third edition of the Trail-Marathon du Mt. Agou, the highest peak of Togo. It will be started on sunday morning, 5th November 2023, 06:00 a.m. again in the area of the AGERTO project. You will expierence the beauty of the mountain villages and their surrounding nature. Believe me, Mt. Agou is a mystical place. We plan to connect both event with a runners camp inside the AGERTO-area, where we will start both marathons. Charity-Background: We bought a new pump for the village Keta-Dzigbe. Details soon, stay tuned.

Cut-Off time for both Trail Marathons will be 03:00 p.m (9 hours).
